The Challenge
Off-the-shelf course platforms charge an ongoing subscription just to sell courses online, and their WooCommerce integrations are usually shallow bolt-ons. Parineeti needed to manage everything herself — upload courses and ebooks, set session and lecture timings, publish FAQs, and take payment — without handing a recurring cut to a third-party LMS plugin.
The Solution
Built a custom WordPress plugin from the ground up instead of licensing an LMS platform, wired directly into WooCommerce for checkout and payment settlement. The plugin gives Parineeti a self-serve admin flow to add a course end to end — session content, lecture timings, ebook uploads, and auto-managed FAQs — with no code required on her side. The WordPress install stays on its default theme; the plugin does the real work, keeping the build lean. Written in plain PHP, HTML and CSS, with AJAX for the interactive pieces.
